November 2025

Dates and Arabic coffee were offered once passengers were settled, along with pre-departure drinks.

Once in the air, service was very swift from a mostly perfunctory crew. There was no welcome by the Cabin Supervisor.

My requested Negroni was served shortly after takeoff, along with cold nuts.

The roasted tomato soup was very good (served with its lid on, removed table-side by the crew), with a notably higher quality selection of bakery than I've had in previous years on QR. I chose tomato chilli extra virgin olive oil to accompany the bread.

Slow-braised beef short ribs with satay sauce was my chosen main course. I'm not sure all of the flavours on the plate really worked together, but nevertheless I did enjoy this dish.

The double chocolate nougat tart with raspberry coulis was disappointingly lacking in flavour. I do wish QR would offer more than one dessert, even on these relatively short Europe to Middle East sectors. Chocolates from a large box were offered to conclude the meal.

A proper hot towel (as opposed to the packaged cold towels that seem to have replaced hot towels during most of the service) was offered after dinner, and again before descent.

The in-seat lights in my Qsuite flashed at random intervals throughout this flight, which I found quite entertaining.
