Did a one night stay on points on the opening weekend and just wanted to share some thoughts. Can't post photos because I'm new on FT.

The hotel was not fully opened yet (no suites - Globalist upgrade to a "Boulevard view" room) and you could tell the occupation was minimal. All staff addressed me by name, which I imagine will be more difficult as it gets more busy. The staff was super friendly and outgoing. For breakfast the staff to guest ratio was 10 to 1, which resulted in great service. Breakfast is a mix of buffet and a-la carte. I personally enjoyed the breakfast and would rank it above GH/TheStandard and on-par with Park Hyatt in BKK. It's served on the lobby floor with a terrace with a great view of the lake and skyline.

The room was modern but warm and for me it works. The bed was super comfortable for my preference. Beautiful art in the room (and generally across the hotel). The room wasn't the biggest. The vibe of the hotel reminds me a bit of the Andaz in Xiamen with a little bit less Chinese influence. Minibar is free except for alcohol.

Personal highlights for me are the pool and gym/spa area. Had a great time there (granted I had it all to myself). The pool is quite large and has a great view for sunset.
There's a cocktail happy hour from 5-6 in the main lobby. There's some sort of daily color theme (?), with a different cocktail every day. There were also wines, Chang and some small bites available. Nothing special really.

The location: BTS station around the corner and a nice park right across the street. There's also the "One" mall which is huge and I got lost in it. There's a million food and shopping options in there, so nice place to spend some time.

Happy to answer any questions.
