After not leaving the continent at all last year, I got that knocked out with my first trip of the year. I had a lot of flying this year, the highest since 2016 and hit second tier on an airline status for the first time in forever.

Some travel highlights:

In January, I had my first visit back home to Hong Kong for more than a twenty-four stay since 2018. This was of Mui Wo, where our lovely hike ended.

My first trip to the Bell Centre in almost sixteen years. I also saw them two nights later in Toronto but the atmosphere at Scotiabank Arena is terrible.

Had a nice relaxing family vacation in a part of the world our family loves, the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia

The Munchkin and I tried to eat all the foods at Richmond Night Market

Not travel, per se, but I snapped my first Boeing paint ferry flight photograph in years of this 737 MAX 8 eventually to be delivered to FlyDubai.

Went and played in the USAFL (United States Australian Football League) Nationals for the second year in a row. Our men's team didn't do so well but our women's/non-binary team came in second in their division. They celebrated a hard-fought win against the New York team in the prelim final.

Had some time to myself on a solo trip to Vancouver, where I took the Seabus for the first time despite visiting Vancouver regularly for two decades.

Last but not least, we celebrated our second anniversary by finally taking our honeymoon and spent nine days in Rio de Janeiro.
Here's to happy and safe travels to all in 2026!
