This year has not been good to me on the travel front, especially by flight.
Zero business travel at all since summer 24, I have been looking into changing jobs (not primarily because of travel slowdown) but the market is bad so it seems I am stuck where I am now for the foreseeable.

That means my 25 flights this year were all leisure. Most of them within Europe, though I did get in one longhaul at the beginning. Only one in (shorthaul) C, barring an opup next week. Which is the least I've travelled since 2016 - even in 2020 I managed to eke out more butt-in-seat miles, even though slightly less segments. Considering that almost all of my flying then was done in the first two months of the year...

Overland, situation was ever so slightly better, with the summer Lupine race providing for a weeks touring around Europe in a fun way - I would certainly encourage people to participate in next years race, as much as you can still get in. A couple of FTers joined each of the three races this year, and we are expecting the same next year.
