Even if my guesses are wrong, it does appear leisure travel vs business is a strong factor.
Also, my "leisure" airports are more likely destinations and business airports may have a lot of onward connections.
Also, I am sure the Tokyo flights are probably way more profitable than CUN flights since they are always selling out high J tickets
