The wine list was the same as the DOH-HKG sector in my earlier post.

I mostly slept on this flight (given the 01:25 departure time), and just took a light breakfast of the steel-cut oats with coconut milk before landing.

The wine list was the same as the LHR-DOH sector in my earlier post.

I decided to take advantage of the dine on demand concept offered by QR and proceed straight to lunch, skipping the advertised breakfast service. Proceedings commenced with a glass of the delicious riesling served in an attractive blue bottle (which the crew were happy to leave with me for the photo), served alongside nuts.



I am finding it increasingly hard to resist the caviar when offered by QR. This is the Baeri caviar served with Balik style salmon - my second serving on this wider trip.





Next up, the butter poached lobster with walnut tapenade - this was served a bit too cold.



The Qatari chicken mashkool with green mabouch was nicely flavoured, as you would expect Qatari dishes to be ex-DOH. I switched to the chardonnay to accompany the main course.



Lunch was concluded with the only dessert on the menu; salted caramel and almond cheesecake, which was excellent and served with an unusually decent quantity of sauce.



Before landing, I sampled the seasonal fresh fruit from the breakfast menu. I'd have been happy with this served on my side table, but the crew insisted on laying the table with a cloth and candle.
