I may have missed it but you have only just shared that you are travelling in CE? As your son will not have his own seat they will have to sit on one of your laps for takeoff and landing and If there is any turbulence and the seatbelt signs come on, however if there is a table fitted in the middle seat the crew can remove it so that you have more space in flight.
