With respect, I think you should look back at the op's post 10, and no, I’m not confusing with voluntary change, I am talking specifically of cancellations by the airline. JL has offered a rebooking in the original class of travel at the first available date on a flight where award seats were undoubtedly not available. That isn’t and never was the issue.
What is not being offered are a range of F to a different airport, F on different routing, F on different dates beyond the first available one that was offered. If as you say there are one world rules that obligate airlines to offer that on award tickets well beyond their regulatory obligations. Please do link or evidence them as it would be brilliantly useful and very important to all of us, but I have to confess that I am not aware of any such rule, let alone one world one and typically, that is not the sort of things alliances codify (nor something I could easily imagine some of the member airlines having ever agreed to to be honest).
‘I just think people keep giving the op a lot expectations which can only lead to a sense of aggravation and unfairness by confusing generous outcomes that can occasionally occur with airline obligations in the op’s scenario which are limited and have been fulfilled but don’t work well for them on this occasion.
