LHR to SEA 18/12/25 – see post 673 above for menu.
Service was friendly and casual, like a local pub rather than a fine dining restaurant. I had to ask about the amuse when the starter was served first, so I got that before the main. The cheesecake on the light meal was forgotten completely, and since they started the second service quite late there wasn't time to request it before beginning descent. Bummer as I was looking forward to it. Had way too much of the Bollinger La Grande Annee because it was so damn good.
Crew was incredibly loud in the galley talking, slamming cabinets, and crashing dishes. Very good thing it was a daytime flight.
Crab and avocado starter was fantastic - easily one of the best dishes I've had on a plane.
Amuse was OK. Goat cheese had little character.
Christmas dinner was great. Turkey was slightly drier than the similar dish on SEA to LHR, but all the sides were better.
Tarte tatin was very good, but ice cream was low quality and icy, and the tiny amount of custard sauce was overheated so a bit curdled.
I swear they were trying to kill me with this scotch pour. At least 8 oz.
Vegetarian scotch egg was nice, though served cold.
Roasted carrot dish was good, though the croquette was kind of falling apart.
