I recently concluded a 3 night stay here with Mrs. stifle. Gold member.

We booked a prepaid stay longer & save rate in a king waterfront view guest room with sofa bed, paying around €215 per night. This was over €100 a night cheaper than the other more central Hiltons.

Online check in one day before the stay offered only our booked room type and paid upgrades at €55+ per night to executive. I cancelled online check-in and the next morning the reservation showed king executive waterfront with sofa bed. We had only two rooms to choose from.

It should be noted there are quite a lot of room types including king, king with sofa bed, and two queen (rare in Europe), each having waterfront and not.

As usual digital key did not want to play and we needed to go to the front desk.

The room was hot hot hot as is the norm in most of Europe and the aircon had no impact, feebly blowing warm-to-hot air out. After a very uncomfortable first night we tried to leave the window open all day. Hotel staff came in and closed it multiple times but we did manage to get things cooled down enough to sleep the remaining nights. That worked in December. I would not want to stay here in June. If like me you are unable to sleep in a sauna I suggest booking somewhere else. The bathroom has a rainfall and handle shower. No tub. Usual Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries in large pump bottles. Bathrobes and slippers were provided. Other room facilities included Nespresso machine (old pods), tea kettle, safe, mini fridge, 2 bottles of water per stay 1 still 1 sparkling, not replenished but you can fill bottles in the executive lounge from a Brita filtered water tap. Bed quite hard. Wifi fine though it kicked us out every 24 hours and had to go back through the captive portal.

Buffet breakfast is served 6:30am-10:30am every day in the basement restaurant. No breakfast service in the executive lounge. The buffet was a hot mess with a ton of kids and tour groups. It was difficult for us to get a table and slow to get around the restaurant because of people everywhere. Everything is self service with the exception of an egg station which had too much of a line. Signage suggests coming before 8:30. The range of food is very good it's just a shame the layout and size make it an unpleasant experience. If you do not have an inclusive rate or gold status or higher, it's €33 per person per day, including tax. They really need to solve this, breakfast in the lounge would be a good start.

Room service breakfast is available 6:30-10:30am and an "all day menu" from noon to 11pm. Ordered via a QR code in the room, you can try accessing the URL here, no guarantees it will work. Hotel guide also on a QR code and that links here.

Executive lounge hours are 7am-8pm with "happy hour" 5-7pm. During this time one or two types each of hot and cold appetizer are served. Think mini pizzas, chicken wings, spring rolls, your other favourite CostCo party stuff. This was accompanied by bread, salad, cheese, and cold cuts, and a respectable open bar. Easy to make a light dinner from if not picky. Not so good if you have any dietary requirements, including vegetarian (as is Mrs. stifle). During the rest of the day you could get sweet and salted snacks, tea, coffee, sodas, and juices. Jam donuts showed up one afternoon. The lounge is a nice size seating maybe 50-70.

The small lobby was made even more crowded by a sponsored Christmas photo backdrop and the gift store spilling its wares out. A very small snack/drink/travel essentials honesty shop in the style of a Hilton Garden Inn was also available though pricing at silly levels.

The transport directions mentioned in post #142 are still accurate and easy to follow. They take you past a Penny mini-market which is useful for supplies.

The outdoor pool was, unsurprisingly, not operative.

A bouncy castle and movie theatre had been set up in the banqueting area on the basement floor for kids.
