Checking in online for WLG-AKL is never an issue, but I've never been able to check in for my onwards leg from AKL (online or in person), until the next morning and always in person at premium check in at AKL intl (I've tried at WLG and I've tried at AKL intl straight after I've arrived from WLG).

It would be really nice if I could be through checked from WLG as it would save the fluff around with bags and dealing with the chaos at check in the next morning with the peak AM departures from AKL intl.
Yes it sure would. I usually just fly same day ex-WLG at 6am on NZ402, but given the very high loads I elected to de-risk by overnighting in AKL.

Yep. Not a biggie, but I still think it’d be good if Elites with issues (Freudian slip?!) could be helped in-situ
