Unlike paid wifi, the free T-Mobile connection can't be moved to another device during the flight. You're stuck on either the phone or the laptop.

Is there any way to tether them together so both can get online? USB? Bluetooth? Has anyone actually done it successfully?

I tried things that would work on the ground, but there was no data to the second device. Maybe T-Mobile or United blocks it?
