I’d love to run into him, he impinged on my life quite humorously a few years ago. I just moved up north and I was furnishing my house from auction. I had a large gap under the window and found this Sideboard that fit perfectly and ended up buying it for no money.



I had a couple of guys that did all the collections and deliveries for me and this week they turned up with the sideboard and the very first words out of their mouths were “thats Alan Shearers sideboard’. I guess that someone at the auction house had accidentally let slip the name of the seller.

The guys then proceeded to spend the next 20 minutes telling me repeatedly “that’s Alan Shearers sideboard” in a tone of awe, and then “why is Alan Shearer selling his sideboard?” on repeat at least 15 times whilst they unloaded everything I’d bought.

The man is a local deity
