BOM-BKK-LPQ (w Bangkok Air). When I booked, BOM-BKK was lay flat on the coffin class ex VS seats, then it changed to something else then a few days before the flight it changed to a B777-200 2-2-2 angled lie flat for a red-eye flight. Each time they separated us (2 people on same booking) and I had to manually rearrange the seats. Luckily on the last change I got the last 2 seats together that were available. Then on the actual flight my wife's seat broke and she had to sit elsewhere (no compensation offered). Of course they are very dated seats (it's been a long time since I've flown angled lie flat) with no storage.

Then just to improve the lack-of-sleep experience the BKK-LPQ flight changed from jet to an ATR72 (2 hours worth).

First world problems I know, but a massive difference to SQ.
Why would you expect compensation if she got a perfectly functioning seat elsewhere? I had a malfunctioning seat the other day and the crew moved us somewhere else that worked - did I expect anything? No. Had there been no alternative, obviously that is a different discussion…
