I’m flying FRA–IAD in ~1 week and currently see a paid Polaris upgrade waitlist offer of $550 + 20k miles.

Curious whether United is still offering day-of-departure or gate paid upgrades to Polaris on long-haul, and if those have been coming in below current app pricing.

Pre-pandemic I was once offered a ~$500 gate upgrade on a similar route, but I know the landscape has changed.

I’m flexible up to ~$650 but would prefer to conserve miles for later for some planned travel later.

Any recent experiences or guidance appreciated! Currently there is plenty of Polaris availability.
