What, normal people don't just fly IAH-DFW-IAH for the fun of it?

(For a sane person it's more "fortunately" -- I haven't had to do a segment run in around over a decade but I the year I was 0.5 segment away from Platinum for the first time I flew CLE-ORD-CLE, met a pilot friend for a quick lunch in ORD and then got back in the same seat [21A] on the same aircraft from the same gate and flew home without ever leaving the sterile side of ORD... got 1K middle of the next year and thankfully haven't dropped back)
