I don’t agree that LHR arrivals are always bad, and yes my experience is usually busses are waiting. Also there is no elaborate clip board performance for 10-20 minutes when you get to the terminal to open the door and let passengers off - it does seem bus drivers are trusted at LHR whereas at MAN no one is trusted.

however, putting all that aside and let’s assume you are right, it’s not much of a defence of MAN is it? I can see the advertising campaign now

“we are c***, but so are some other airports so you might as well come to MAN”
