I did SJU MIA last month and onwards to LHR on BA on the later BA flight on seperate tickets
The SJU MIA was a 777 and being business class we brought our luggage on as hand luggage
we literally deplaned outside the door of the AA flagship lounge
we took the transit train to the BA lounge and spent a wonderful few hours there including Concorde dining as we were in first
no TSA,no re checking bags just a simple airside connection albeit with a lot of walking (that you’d have to do anyway)
my advice to the OP is to book another earlier flight to MIA
