You should all look if they offer more points than necessary for you to reach Diamond. I was offered up to 120 000 points for USD 1000, but did need 110 000 points only.

120K = USD 1000
110K = USD 960

I did but the 120K, because I got the last 10K for USD40, which is better than what they usually sell on 100% promotion.
