I have never been Diamond and now got an e-mail with subject line "Upgrade to Diamond Elite status" and the text itself says "Purchase 80,000 Elite Qualifying Points by December 31, 2025, and you’ll secure an upgrade to Diamond Elite status through the end of 2026".

I did not know they send these also to us who are not nor have ever been Diamond? Also, the point amount does not make any sense since I'm not that far away from Diamond.

I am a long time Plat, thou, with 50-60 nights a year, but still, does not make sense to me.
