I have had the "misfortune" to fly on the 777 2 Class v2 config many times, 20A, 22D, 23C and 42A, in the last 12 months and can assure you there are extra legroom seats in this forward section.
Dummy bookings for upcoming EY77 and EY406 flights clearly show the EL option still available, at an extra cost, for both the 777 2 Class v1 and v2 configurations.



These ageing 777s are not a great in-flight experience compared to the newer 787's, many seats (including EL) have other issues - ancient and faulty IFE, dodgy tray tables etc. The "youngest" is A6-ETS the 3 Class config and even that is showing its age...
