If you are not familiar with Paris public transport system, you may find it confusing and waste time to buy the ticket to and from Paris.

I have never done that (I use a plastic pass), but from what I understand you can download an app on your phone and buy the ticket in advance : https://www.ratp.fr/en/titres-et-tarifs/paris-aeroport.

I have seen insane queues of people wanting to buy their RER ticket... Buy them in advance.

This way, passed customs, you can head straight to CDG train station. "Paris by train" signage will lead you there.
