I don't get why they need 8 months for a renovation. As others said, the Loft is not "worn out", some touch-ups would be sufficient imo. Will it increase the seating capacity? Maybe the deal with Lexus is ending? The chocolate car on display is starting to show sugary spots, and the bicycle on the wall still has rim brakes! Anyhow, we'll see what the result will be. The "pop-up" lounge will be just across the hallway. No direct apron views anymore, but I think it will have windows looking out over the A-concourse.
Note that The Loft (A) is managed by Brussels Airlines and as such limited to *A while the Diamond Lounge (A) and The View (B) are managed by Brussels Airport and accept all other Alliances + PP. The View is now the only remaining lounge at B (Non-Schengen). All other lounges are closed atm.
Brussels Airport is also selling Lounge Access quite aggressively, also through tour operators, hence the capacity problems at the Diamond Lounge (A).
