I am asking whether it's possible to leave the airport and get to the Champs-Élysées for lunch? Maps show about an hour each way by taxi, although morning traffic could affect that duration. Any comments on whether it's feasable, and suggestions on how to spend that time, is appreciated. (At worst, we can use the AF lounge at the airport, but wonder whether they'd allow a stay there at this many hours?)

Thank you!
You can of course leave the airport but, with a flight at 2 pm, forget about having lunch downtown. As others said, forget about using a taxi in the morning, it will take you forever in the morning traffic. Take the train.
You will have to leave downtown around 11 to be back at the airport by 12 max.
Your time in Paris will be very short (let's say from 8:30 to 11). Not sure it worths it.
