But given the recent anti-customer policy changes from CX & the stubbornness of some staff seems like you have to be pushing your luck
2 yes, you can go through transit directly
However other fellow FTers on this forum have already warned against going through transit, entering a lounge then demanding immigration clearance into HKG - it'll be a mess w.r.t. immigration policy - once you go through transit, you very nearly forfeit your opportunity to enter HKG
Besides, no CX lounge operates 24hrs, so you need to plan how to pass your time airside during those few hours...
