Note that we are flying Business Class and Carry-on only.
Do we need to get to LIM 3hr early - at 4am?
Looking for some guidance....

I was over an hour in an Uber, either way, once very late at night and then returning around lunch time and the time was the same (over an hour) - I would seriously factor in 1.5-hours travel time to the Airport if you're staying outside of Lima and down the coast. That would be more important than getting through security.
I'm local and I always aim to arrive 2.5 to 3 hours early (for international flights) just because of a few terrible experiences with traffic. This doesn't really apply to very early morning arrivals, it's much less likely that you'll have bad traffic if you are planning to arrive at the airport before 6am. Depending on the airline there might be a bit of a line to bag drop/check-in but if you're Business class and carry-on only, then the airport part flows well enough at the new terminal. At the new terminal, the gate isn't really announced too far in advance (maybe around 1 hour until departure?), but some gates can be a bit of a walk (in particular if you're assigned a bus).

One new thing is that Immigration is allowing (as like a trial run) foreigners to use Migracheck (pre-registration that allows you to use the e-gates) on departure (not arrival). I think the only requirement is that the entry to the country had to have been at LIM.
