Otherwise, no luck. Your overnight at HKG was less than 24 hours so it does not count as a stopover, and an early arrival at KUL is in itself not EC261 eligible.
Departure was instead at 15:30.
The thing that muddles the water even more is that as i understand it, because of a slightly different interpretation of EU261 in dutch, it applies potentially to both early arrival as well, but I'm not sure if that's only for Dutch citizens or if flying from the Netherlands in general and there has been court case precedence for it.
