Had another good stay at the Courtyard Pittsburgh Airport (the one right at the airport, not Settlers Ridge).
This time, it was a full weekend stay on a busy weekend. There were two different football games downtown and the hotel was packed with people in jerseys. Kind of surprised they'd stay so far out of town but it was much cheaper and it's not that bad of a drive. Probably worth it.
This time, I stayed in a 2 Queen Bed Suite with a living room balcony overlooking the interior courtyard. It was almost too much space for one person. The bedroom and living room were distinctly separate spaces. When you walked in the door, it was bedroom on the left, living room straight ahead, bathroom to the right. The courtyard-facing rooms do seem to be quieter than the airport facing rooms, although my room had a connecting door in the living room and I heard quite a bit of noise one night through the door. (The neighbors didn't seem to like each other very much.)
Really good service from the front desk again. Proactively offered specific restaurant recommendations and made sure I got a delivery I had forgotten.
Still don't know what to think about this location. At different times, I needed to be downtown, north of the city, and northwest past the airport. It was equally (somewhat) inconvenient for all of them...
But I think I'm standardizing on this property when I'm in the area. I like the dependability, service level, and ease of parking/access, plus it's much more affordable than downtown properties.
