Comment: The public areas at the hotel were dark and loud, a hold over from the 90s W Hotel design principles and aesthetics. Staff were young and friendly but not particularly experienced. Their English was good enough for basic communication. When I was there, I saw many young hotel/restaurant guests posing for social media - strange, as the public areas are dark and not particularly nice or beautiful. In my room, I heard low level of noise throughout the day and especially at night and had to use ear plugs to sleep. Cause could be the thumping music in the lobby and its restaurant. The neighborhood has no charms or character but plenty of traffic congestion and cars honking. (The next night I moved to the Hyatt Regency 300 meters away, which was a much nicer experience - elegant, calm, quiet.)
