I opened Citibank accounts last month and got CPC status this month, so I want to take advantage of the $400 subscription rebate for 2025. My Costco and Prime memberships aren’t renewable until mid-2026. We don’t have a local Costco, but there’s one about an hour away, which I go to once a month or so. I didn’t want to drive back and forth multiple times, so I shamelessly bought three $130 Shop Cards in separate transactions today. I figured it was worth the gamble, since I probably wouldn’t be able to use the $400 any other way. Will update my post if I get any rebates.

UPDATE: Partially successful. It looks like the CPC subscription rebate is still applied in $200 chunks, and the second $200 doesn't kick in until the first $200 is spent? So my three $130 Shop Card purchases only partially tracked. I received a $130 rebate for one of them, $70 for the second one, and the 3rd one didn't track at all. Since I don't have time to make it to Costco for the rest of the year, now I need to figure out how to spend my second $200 rebate. For 2026, I won't be as rushed, so I will probably get a $130 Shop Card and a $65 Shop Card to get $195, but I won't know how to spend that remaining $5 before I can use my second $200. I might get 1 $130 Shop Card and 2 $65 Shop Cards (even though I won't get the rebate on $60 of it), and on another day, I will do the same thing.

UPDATE 2: I never ended up complaining to Citi about the missing $190, but 3 months later, they gave me a $190 credit. The 2025 rebate dashboard now shows the $190 credit too. Missing out on the extra $200 rebate for CPC is probably common, so they fixed mine automatically.
