If on a single PRN and TK sells that itinerary, they will guarantee your connection. If misconnection TK will accommodate you.
In my experiences, I would take a longer transfer time. IST is immensely huge and USA bound flights require extra security.
Suggestion take an earlier ATH-IST connection
If I book it, I will be on a single PNR sold by TK. Unfortunately, there is only one IST-LAX flight per day, and there is not an earlier ATH-IST flight. But thanks for the suggestions
