Noticed that on the Asiana App seat map for an upcoming flight, the seats at the front of the Economy Cabin have been renamed “Extra Legroom” (and given a brown colour with an arrow) rather than “Smartium”, which are purple with an S.

The “view seat image” option shows photos where it is confirmed that Economy Smartium is renamed “Extra Legroom” from the 1st January 2026.

I wonder if this means that the admission to the Lounge benefit that comes with ex ICN Economy Smartium seats is being withdrawn. I did get an empty text message from Asiana recently with no content.
