The status discounts for The Wine Flyer (5% Bronze, 10% Silver, 15% Gold, 20% GGL) are permanent, they were introduced when the BA Club was.
There's also a bonus offer of 5,000 Avios when you spend £150 at the moment. Note, the actual spend needs to be £150, so if you're gold, you'll need to have £176.47 worth of plonk in your basket for it to trigger.
