I’ve only ever split or merged reservations that were on the same itinerary, so this is new territory for me. My colleague and I are flying on separate PNRs: he is on LH ticket stock, I’m on LX ticket stock. We share the same outbound flights (BSL–MUC–ORD–SAT), but we return on different dates and routes. I’m SEN, he has no status. Is it possible to link our bookings (either via the hotline or at check-in), and does it provide any meaningful benefits? I’m mainly wondering about irregular operations handling, being rebooked together on the same flights, and seat assignment in case of an aircraft change. Are there any other advantages? Flights are on LH City, LH, and UA.
ps: This was the most recen thread i found on this topic/related to it.
