In the past, this has worked for me, but recently, I've been getting an error message saying "Log in to use your available Trip Credit for anyone, otherwise the credit owner must be traveling."
You can book the trip on their behalf on your account and apply the credit, but I don't think you can just give them the credit number anymore.
