I really wish Aer Lingus would deal with seat selection fees for elites. It really irks me to pay 20 euro for an award fare then another 46 per person RT for a seat on it, especially when I use award flights for much of my personal travel (“thanks for the 20k in spend you gave us last year. As a reward, here’s a 92 euro bill for the pair of you for the seat on the “free” flight you earned for your personal travel. Also, there’s no lounge access on basically any of the bucket and spade holiday routes any more, so hope you enjoy sitting in the terminal. Love, AerClub”).

can you tell I took an award flight to Tenerife in October?
not exactly a premium experience!

does anybody know if airport kiosk checkin allows seat selection [on Saver fares]?
