This really sucks. I empathize with Frontier, cause they probably have to deal with fraudulent transactions a lot more than legacy carriers. But, I threw that empathy out the window when they wouldn't just let you book the same ticket at the same price as the original fare. What the hell? They obviously have the ability to overbook a flight, so why not book you the same ticket at the same fare, then cancel the original booking that didn't have matching billing details? Everyone wins. Frontier's fraud risk is removed, you get your original cheap ticket, and more importantly, you go on a happy customer with no disruption to your original plans. Pretty awful they didn't do that for you.
