My MQD this year is actually ~$30k (still very small compared to most Diamonds, I imagine), I was just using that number as a way to do the analysis. I should have picked something more realistic. But I'm skeptical that even Diamonds spending $100k are getting the upgrades to justify a premium anymore. Once you're Diamond, yearly spend is not important to upgrade success (except for the fare class you buy, of course).
