All economy passengers (including me) were required to sit in the last 2 rows of the plane for the duration of the flight. First cabin was full. After some grumbling (one of the passengers moved was a deadheading captain) -- they allowed us to "space out" by using the last three rows of the plane instead. But yeah that long of a flight is definitely rough!
On the flip side though I once got a free upgrade on a US Airways to first class due to W&B issues out of YUL after asking if I could purchase an upgrade.

This was on an Air Miles ticket which are not upgrable ( nor did it earn any points). With no status.

Was surprised as they would normally upgrade elites, I guess yul was not an elite heavy market.
