Sounds like JAL should be fine for us. ANA seats may be wider, but JAL should be wide enough (we're not large people), are softer (sleep is important), have more storage space (always helpful), close enough (not that we talk so often on a flight) and the cabin should be cool enough. Food should work. At the moment similar pricing and schedules.
