GS PP's applied to award tickets will still 'outrank' non-GS uses of the same.

ETA: If I can now easily upgrade my friend's milage booking with my GS PP's, that also has more value for the above reason. I've done this previously but was under the impression it was always done outside of the guidelines and not a normal perk.
