yes. Sometimes you will get an announcement by the cc for everyone to ensure they keep their allocated seats for take off precisely because of this.
Let's hope it isn't one of those single aisle flights where it feels like half the plane is queuing for the forward lavatory!
(Yes I know that in reality the weight concerns are mainly on take off and landing, during which period the seat-belt sign is lit and only Americans are permitted to use the lavatories)
