In the least promoting and self-serving way of course I think it would be in everyone’s best interest to be informed of the FAQ’s list of all-important threads and furthermore build up encouragement to skim the most recent pages of a given thread.

Along these lines a key issue is what prompts people to sprinkle new threads around to the point that the existing threads are left out of sight on page two. I have noticed a high number of these recently. Is it because, like in the holiday traffic, the streets are flooded with Sunday drivers? Nothing wrong with that of course, we are happy to be represented by any weekday, but the situation requires easy access, and having a suitable title is a considerable step in that direction, which at times is sorely lacking, in part because seemingly people have little say in adjusting it as the thread progresses.

Yet another stumbling block is the sticky threads that are placed at the top of the webpage. But this static area although given a high profile position is not where people are looking, they look at the top of the regular threads because that’s where the recent contributions are to be found. I would say there is work to be done.
Not only would you say it, you actually did! Ok - semi-seriously, folks. BofA doesn't need half a month. BofA doesn't want to spend the money for the programming. AX quickly sends info to DL, and the EQDs trickle in 1 or 3 at a time. I doubt neither AS nor BofA is losing any customer over the EQPs posting up to 50 days after making a purchase. If that changes, voila, immediate inspiration for speeding things up. Perhaps when BofA has some back end programming updates will things change.

It would be nice to have instant gratiificaiton, especially when said gratificaiton includes a faster status bump, perks redemption, and so on.

As for the rest of your Sunday Sermon, probably no one here wants to do even something close to what the BA forum provides out of benevolent interest for FT users. And that is a shame, given that AS is on the precipice* of being the world's foremost international carrier.

*hopefully not a prescient choice of words.
