Upgraded travel companion (on same flight as me) with a GUC from main to PS. Checked in now, and they do no appear on the upgrade list. Flight is more than 24hr away since we have a domestic segment first.
should I call now or wait for the 24hr deadline for the long haul flight? I know PS to D1 upgrades only start being processed then. Thanks.
Update: decided to text Delta. Frontline agent was useless. Asked to be transferred to the ticketing desk, who took care of the upgrade swiftly, even tho the long haul segment is still 27hr away. We then validated together - no additional certificates were removed from our accounts due to this early upgrade. When I suggested I give him one of my job well done certificates, his reply was "Oh haha! You're too kind. It's been my pleasure -- really quite normal processes here. Save them for the newbie that really goes above and beyond! lol"
