I got a rate of $99 for one night last week. I booked through a travel agent, and had to pre-pay. When I got the to hotel, they wouldn't take my HHonors number, and didn't give me anything for being gold. They put me in a room on the 2nd floor. The room didn't look like they were done (bed skirt missing, television had the real remote, not the hotel system). There was all kinds of noise. Then, I got a knock on the door from "engineering" who had to check my toilet. Due to plumbing problems, they had to move me to a different room.
When I was moved, I got my HHonors number added to my stay, and, while they wouldn't give me anything on the executive floor or access to the lounge, they did give me breakfast chits.
In the end, I got a much better room, but I was very disappointed with the way I was treated when I arrived.
