8. You've had a truly great time hiking to the summit of Mt. Katahdin which is the highest mountain in Maine with a peak elevation of 5,268 feet. However, arriving back at the town of Millinocket on a Thursday afternoon, you receive an urgent request: Can you travel to Amsterdam for a dinner meeting this Saturday night at the home of the owner and CEO of a European company you've been consulting with? Well, let's see here....you quickly ascertain the closest airport to your present location with scheduled jet service is Bangor (BGR). 11. You need to travel from Little Rock to Los Angeles for a business meeting. However, when you arrive at the airport in Little Rock, you are informed that your direct, multistop flight from LIT to LAX has just been cancelled due to a mechanical issue. So what's Plan B? The very attractive young lady ticket agent with the airline you were planning to fly with tells you she has an idea: "Our competition has a flight departing just 30 minutes after your flight was scheduled to depart and their service out of here is a nonstop but not to Los Angeles. So you'll then have to make a quick 37 minute connection to another flight operated by them which is a one stop service to LAX.
