Because those Hamptons were very clearly built (or at least designed and approved) before 1989 which is when the first Homewood appeared... There wasn't an entire brand for that when those properties had a few rooms with kitchens. I'm assuming that when Homewood gained ground was around the time Hampton's brand standards prohibited Kitchens.
