Upgrade waitlist priority
Any thoughts on how the waitlist priority is handled on ANA? In particular First Class?
I had two separate itineraries one for myself and another for a colleague booked via United. Both booked in the same class. I have 1K/*G with United but my colleague has no status.
You can request upgrades through United but first they need to convert the flight numbers from UA codeshare to NH ones.
My colleagues was converted to NH flights first and applied/requested the PP upgrades. I then processed mine.
Now I see that my upgrade has cleared but theirs is still waitlisted.
How does ANA prioritize waitlist clearing? In this instance it seems possibly *G is a factor (don’t think ANA would care if I’m 1K or Platinum) and not the timestamp of when upgrade was requested?
