Good to know that! Do you happen to know why the CZ B787-9 that sustained a tail strike was declared as beyond repair? I thought both B787 and A350 are made of carbon fiber and thus could potentially be subject to the same fate.
The majority of tail strikes in fact do not result in write offs and are easily repaired. The CZ tail strike was an exceptionally hard landing that created a crack down the middle of the rear fuselage and apparently some internal structural damage.
