Was on a 757-200 from EWR to IAH last week. Asked the Pilot while boarding if ATC coms would be available to listen to and he replied with "Don't know, need to check the cockpit (he was standing in the jetbridge)" and then mentioned that I could always listen in on the internet. And of course it was turned off the whole flight.
